Remy LeBeau, best known as Gambit, is a mutant appearing in Marvel Comics. His first appearance was in Uncanny X-Men Annual #14 (July 1990).
Abandoned as a child, he was raised within the Thieves Guild of New Orleans, eventually marrying Bella Donna Boudreaux of the Assassins Guild to unite the two factions.
Gambit possesses the mutant ability to manipulate kinetic energy, charging objects with explosive power. He often uses playing cards as projectiles.
A skilled thief and charismatic rogue, Gambit joined the X-Men, facing prejudice and struggling with his past involvement in dark events. He has a complicated on-again, off-again relationship with fellow X-Men member Rogue.
